INTRODUCING CHRISTOPHER LANDIN
I currently live in Gothenburg, Sweden. When the financial crisis hit I had to quit my job and I had no idea what to do. So I decided to move here and I’m glad I did. I’m twenty-one years old. I’ve been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. I have always been interested in reality. The reality I could best capture through my camera. I take pictures to document the life i’ve lost and to remember. To remember the people I know, and once knew. Photography has sometimes forced me to face my fears and to stand for them in a time where pain is something you don’t talk about. It has also helped me to turn bad moments in my life into something good. My nikon fm-2 got broken a while ago so recently I’ve been shooting with a Olympus mju-iii. This is a photograph of my friend. He and his girlfriend had recently been kicked out of an apartment, and had only a few days to find a new one. The photo was taken after they’ve finally found a new apartment which also happened to have a wonderful view. He lit a cigarette and could finally breath out when I took the picture, without him noticing. Emilie Björk is one of my closest friends and an amazing photographer. She has a beautiful way of telling a story and has always been an inspiration to me.
